Description

Sequeirinha 10 Years Old Tawny Port brings the Douro’s warmly matured style to the festive table, presented in a Christmas-themed bottle and gift tube. A blend of traditional Douro grapes, it is aged in oak for more than 10 years, developing the mellow character that distinguishes tawny Port.

Tasting Notes
Its amber-gold colour leads into aromas of caramel, vanilla, figs and raisins. The palate is silky and gently sweet, with dried-fruit flavours balanced by freshness and a lingering finish of toasted nuts and warming spice. Matured and ready to enjoy, this Port is best appreciated for its developed, oak-aged character rather than further cellaring.

Production
Made in Portugal’s Douro region from Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, the Port spends more than 10 years ageing in traditional oak casks. This extended maturation encourages the tawny colour and layers of dried-fruit, nut and caramel notes. Harvesting and specific vinification details are not provided.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled, around 12–16°C, alongside risalamande with cherry sauce, festive pastries, marzipan, filled chocolates or mature cheeses. It also works well with toasted nuts. Decanting is generally unnecessary for tawny Port; simply pour and serve.
