Description

A 2012 Pinot Noir sekt from Sekthaus Raumland, this Extra Brut cuvée earned 97 points and first place in the Burgundy Sekt category at the 2025 VINUM German Sekt Awards, where it was named Sekt of the Year. Its depth, fine mousse and complex, savory-edged character make it a standout example of premium German sparkling wine.

Tasting Notes
The nose layers vanilla, banana cream and toffee with hints of cardamom, orange zest and dark bread. On the palate, a creamy opening gives way to grapefruit, kumquat, brioche and pumpernickel, carried by beautifully integrated acidity and a fine, persistent mousse. The 2012 vintage is already showing striking depth and complexity; further aging potential is not specified.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with roast poultry, richer seafood, aged cheeses or dishes with toasted and savory flavors that echo the wine’s brioche and dark-bread notes.
