Why shop with us?
Seguin-Manuel’s Rully Blanc Les Cailloux 2023 is a beautifully poised white Burgundy that captures why Rully has become such a favorite among Burgundy lovers: serious quality, freshness, and character without the sky-high prices of the more famous Côte de Beaune. Sourced from a small parcel in Les Cailloux, this Chardonnay shows the clean, expressive style of Thibaut Marion, where terroir is allowed to shine through with clarity and finesse.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, inviting appearance that suggests freshness and precision. The nose opens with juicy peach, nectarine, apple, and citrus aromas, layered with a subtle mineral edge that adds lift and definition.
On the palate, the wine is silky and generous, with ripe orchard and stone fruit balanced by crisp acidity and a gentle stony bite. It has a supple, polished texture and enough structure to age gracefully for a few years, developing more complexity while keeping its vibrant, terroir-driven profile.
Production
Les Cailloux is a small parcel situated south of the village of Rully, in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise, close enough to the Côte de Beaune to reflect some of its elegance while maintaining its own distinctive identity. The soils combine clay and limestone, giving the Chardonnay both richness and freshness. The wine is aged for 9 months in French oak barrels, which adds subtle depth without overshadowing the vineyard character.
Food & Serving
Serve this wine at around 14°C to best appreciate its balance of fruit, texture, and minerality. It pairs wonderfully with baked white fish, roasted or poached chicken, creamy poultry dishes, and other refined white-meat preparations. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open the wine if served young.
Producer
Seguin-Manuel is a respected Burgundy producer known for crafting wines with purity, precision, and a strong sense of place. Under winemaker and owner Thibaut Marion, the domaine has built a reputation for a juicy, transparent style that highlights vineyard expression rather than heavy winemaking. In a region where small parcel selections matter greatly, Seguin-Manuel stands out for delivering authentic, terroir-driven Burgundy with excellent balance and value.
