Tasting Notes
In the glass, it offers a deep golden hue that hints at its generous style. The nose opens with ripe apple, peach, mango, vanilla, butter, and a subtle caramelised note, creating that signature California Chardonnay character. The palate is full and intense, yet beautifully balanced, with the same lush fruit carried by a creamy texture and a long, impressive finish. This is a Chardonnay designed to be enjoyed young and expressive, and Rombauer’s approach means it is released ready to drink. While it will show well now, its richness and structure also give it enough depth to hold for a few years if stored properly.

Production
The grapes come primarily from Rombauer family vineyards in Carneros, a cool-climate region prized for Chardonnay thanks to its maritime influence, long growing season, and fruit-driven elegance. The fruit is hand-harvested in the coolest part of the day to preserve freshness, with whole clusters pressed while still cool. The wine is then matured for nine months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, adding spice, texture, and the creamy oak signature that defines the style.

Food & Serving
This is an ideal match for roast chicken, lobster, creamy pasta, grilled prawns, buttery seafood dishes, or rich vegetable dishes such as corn risotto or baked squash. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary—just open and enjoy.
