Rocche Costamagna Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Bricco Francesco Riserva is a highly expressive Barolo from one of La Morra’s most celebrated crus. Crafted from Nebbiolo grown in the historic Rocche dell’Annunziata vineyard, it reflects more than two centuries of family stewardship and the character of a site long associated with some of Barolo’s most refined wines.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Riserva shows the deep garnet hue typical of great Barolo, with subtle brick-toned highlights that will become more pronounced with age. The nose is expansive and layered, opening with plum, violet and rose, then unfolding into balsamic, spice and savory nuances. On the palate, it offers remarkable structure wrapped in elegance, with polished tannins and a fresh, persistent finish. The wine already shows impressive balance, but its depth and concentration suggest excellent aging potential, allowing the floral and tertiary notes to evolve beautifully over time.

Production
The grapes come from Rocche dell’Annunziata, a historic cru in the heart of La Morra, where Nebbiolo benefits from one of Barolo’s most prized terroirs. Fermentation includes around three weeks of skin maceration at a controlled 26°C, helping to extract color, aroma and structure while preserving finesse. The wine is then aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks and a further two years in bottle before release, giving it both power and harmony.

Food & Serving
This is a classic wine for rich, savory dishes such as braised beef, roasted lamb, game, truffle risotto or aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C and, given its structure and complexity, decanting for at least 1–2 hours is recommended, especially when the wine is young.
