Tasting Notes
Bright straw-yellow in appearance, this Spätlese opens with inviting aromas of ripe peach, apricot and yellow apple, complemented by floral notes and a subtle mineral character. On the palate, it is lusciously fruity yet lifted by the Rheingau’s characteristic acidity, with flavours of stone fruit, citrus and a gentle honeyed sweetness. The wine’s freshness keeps it balanced and energetic rather than heavy, with a long, clean finish. While already approachable, the 2022 vintage has the concentration and acidity to develop gracefully over the next 8–12 years, gaining further complexity with bottle age.

Production
The Rheingau’s south-facing vineyards benefit from a temperate climate and the moderating influence of the Rhine, while the region’s varied soils contribute freshness and mineral depth. Spätlese wines are made from grapes harvested later in the season at elevated ripeness, typically with careful selection in the vineyard. Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its balance of sweetness and acidity makes it an excellent partner for spicy Asian cuisine, Thai curries, sushi and dishes with fruit-based sauces. It also pairs beautifully with pâté, foie gras, blue cheese and lightly sweet desserts such as fruit tarts. Decanting is not necessary, although a short period in the glass can allow its aromas to open further.
