Robert Weil Reserve 2020 is an elegant Riesling from the Rheingau that combines precision, freshness, and a distinctive mineral edge. Crafted from hand-selected grapes from some of the estate’s best sites, it reflects both the purity of the vintage and the long-standing reputation of Robert Weil as one of Germany’s benchmark Riesling producers.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright pale gold color with subtle green reflections. The nose is expressive and refined, with layers of ripe peach, citrus fruit, and a delicate hint of honey. On the palate, it is balanced and polished, with fine acidity, clear fruit definition, and a long, mineral finish that brings focus and length. The wine already offers plenty of charm, but its structure and freshness also give it very good aging potential. With a few years in bottle, the fruit will become broader and more complex while the signature Rheingau minerality remains at the core.

Production
The grapes come from carefully selected top vineyard sites in the Rheingau, an area known for its steep slopes, cool climate, and mineral-rich soils that are ideal for Riesling. The fruit was harvested by hand and rigorously sorted to ensure only the best grapes were used. After gentle pressing, fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by several months of lees aging to enhance texture, complexity, and finesse.

Food & Serving
Robert Weil Reserve 2020 is a superb match for fine fish dishes, seafood, sushi, and lightly seasoned Asian cuisine. It also pairs beautifully with poultry in delicate sauces or creamy vegetable dishes. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary, although a short time in the glass will help the aromas open up.
