Tasting Notes
Pale golden in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with lifted aromas of citrus, ripe orchard fruit, toasted almond, and hazelnut, layered with a subtle buttery note. On the palate it is generous and full-bodied, yet retains a lively backbone of citrus freshness and a refined, almost flinty mineral edge. Aged sur lie in French oak for eight months, the wine gains extra depth and a creamy texture without losing its elegance. The finish is long and persistent, with nutty, buttery nuances that linger nicely, and it should drink well now while also having the structure to age gracefully for a few years.

Production
The grapes come from two carefully chosen vineyard parcels in Carneros AVA, where morning fog and cooling winds from San Pablo Bay allow for slow, even ripening. This cool-climate setting helps the Chardonnay maintain acidity, finesse, and layered aromatics while building texture and concentration. The wine was matured sur lie in French oak barrels for eight months, adding complexity and a rounded mouthfeel.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 14°C in large Burgundy-style glasses to let the wine open up fully. It works beautifully with baked fish, roast chicken, or creamy pasta dishes, and is also an excellent match for a cheese board featuring rich, creamy cheeses. Decanting is not essential, but a little time in the glass will help reveal its full aroma profile.
