Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the dark, concentrated color you expect from a serious Napa Cabernet. The nose is layered and expressive, combining blackberries, cassis and ripe dark fruit with a distinctive herbal edge of sage, all lifted by cedar, baking spice and subtle oak complexity. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and intensely flavored, yet remarkably precise. Juicy dark berries meet savory herbal notes, supported by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity that give the wine energy and length. It is impressive now for its balance and depth, but it has the structure and concentration to age gracefully for at least 10 years, likely longer.

Production
The wine comes from Robert Mondavi Winery’s top parcels in To Kalon Vineyard, one of Napa Valley’s most celebrated sites, known for its exceptional soils, sunshine and overall growing conditions. Harvest is carried out with strict selection in the vineyard, followed by a second meticulous sorting in the cellar to ensure only the best grapes make the final blend. Vinification is focused on preserving purity and concentration, with oak aging adding spice, texture and complexity without overshadowing the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Reserve Cabernet is an excellent partner for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, venison or aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially if enjoyed young, to allow the wine’s aromatics and structure to open fully.
