Sourced from the famed Pira cru in Castiglione Falletto, it combines precision, depth, and classic structure with the unmistakable elegance that has made Roagna a benchmark name in Piedmont.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a translucent ruby-garnet colour, with the brightness and finesse that Nebbiolo lovers look for. The nose is nuanced and layered, opening with red cherry, rose petal, crushed herbs, tar, and subtle earthy notes, gradually gaining more intensity with time in the glass. On the palate, this is a poised and deeply structured Barolo, with firm yet fine-grained tannins, bright acidity, and a long, savoury finish. Expect red berries, dried flowers, spice, and mineral notes woven together in a very classical style. While approachable with patience, it is built for aging and should develop beautifully over many years, gaining greater complexity and harmony.

Pira is one of Barolo’s most celebrated crus, known for producing wines with clarity, lift, and impressive longevity. Roagna works with a traditional philosophy in the vineyard and cellar, favouring low-intervention methods and a restrained approach to vinification that allows the character of Nebbiolo and the Pira terroir to come through. Food & Serving
This Barolo pairs beautifully with richly flavoured dishes such as braised beef, veal shank, truffle risotto, porcini pasta, and game. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and decanting for several hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to help the wine open and reveal its full aromatic complexity.
