Realm The Bard 2021

Realm The Bard 2021 is a polished Napa Cabernet blend inspired by the great wines of Bordeaux’s Left Bank, bringing together richness, structure, and impressive finesse. Crafted by winemaker Benoit Touquette, it combines fruit from some of Napa’s most respected vineyards, offering a modern California interpretation of a classic style.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, The Bard shows a deep, dark ruby color that hints at its concentration and depth. The nose opens with dark cherry, blackberry, sun-warmed earth, violet, and a distinctive graphite or pencil lead note that gives the wine a very Bordeaux-like character. The palate leans more toward red cherry than black fruit, with the aromatic profile carrying through beautifully. Tannins are firm and clearly present, giving the wine a structured, serious feel, while the overall balance remains elegant and composed. It is already highly enjoyable now, though it should continue to evolve well over the next 2–3 years and beyond.
