The nose is complex and layered, opening with dark cherry, black plum and blackberry compote, followed by notes of dried roses, violets, licorice, tobacco leaf and crushed herbs. Subtle nuances of cedar, cocoa, graphite and warm spice from fine oak frame the fruit without overwhelming it. On the palate, this Taurasi Riserva is powerful yet extraordinarily precise. Production
Vigna Grande Cerzito is a high-altitude single vineyard in the Taurasi appellation of Campania, planted exclusively to Aglianico on volcanic and limestone-rich soils. This combination of altitude, poor mineral soils and significant diurnal temperature swings allows the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving acidity and aromatic complexity. Harvest is carried out manually, with strict fruit selection in the vineyard and again at the winery to ensure only perfectly ripe, healthy grapes are vinified. Quintodecimo employs a meticulous, small-lot vinification, typically involving temperature-controlled fermentation and extended maceration to extract Aglianico’s noble tannins and deep color. The wine then matures for an extended period in carefully chosen oak (often French barriques or tonneaux) followed by bottle aging, allowing structure and aromatics to harmonize before release as a Riserva.

Food & Serving
This is a serious gastronomic wine that shines alongside rich, savory cuisine. Pair it with slow-braised lamb shank, osso buco, game dishes, roasted or grilled red meats, and mature hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or aged pecorino. Traditional southern Italian dishes with tomato-based sauces, wild mushrooms, or truffle accents also complement its structure and earthy nuances.
