Description

Quintodecimo’s Via del Campo is a single-vineyard Falanghina from Mirabella Eclano in Irpinia, showcasing one of Campania’s distinctive native grapes. Falanghina is thought to have ancient Greek roots, while its name is often linked to the traditional phalange vine-training system; today, plantings are concentrated largely in Campania.

Production
The Via del Campo vineyard is planted on clay and limestone soils, which contribute a finely mineral character and structural complexity. Around one third of the wine is matured in French oak barriques, with the remainder kept in stainless steel. Both portions spend eight months on fine lees, with regular bâtonnage. Harvesting details are not provided.

Food & Serving
Try it with grilled or baked fish, shellfish, or fresh cheeses. Serve lightly chilled; decanting is not usually necessary for a white wine of this style.
