Description

Quinta Santa Eufemia Tawny Finest Reserve is a richly layered, wood-aged Port from Portugal’s Douro region, with a tawny hue and a complex character shaped by seven years in cask. Made from traditional grape varieties grown in old vineyards, it offers a classic expression of the region’s fortified-wine tradition.

Tasting Notes
Its brownish tawny colour leads into aromas and flavours of ripe fruit, redcurrant and plum, complemented by the complexity developed during extended cask ageing. No vintage is specified; the wine is ready to enjoy now, and its ageing potential in bottle is not stated.

Production
The wine is made from traditional varieties harvested by hand in old Douro vineyards. The grapes are foot-trodden in granite lagares, and fermentation is stopped with grape spirit. After an initial period in stainless-steel tanks, the Port matures for seven years in 550-litre wooden casks.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly chilled with almond tart or mature cheeses, or enjoy it on its own after a meal. It is ready to pour and generally does not require decanting.
