Crafted by Paul Golitzin from top sites in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, it combines power, precision, and remarkable elegance in a style that has made Quilceda Creek a reference name for American Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes
Deep, nearly inky in the glass, this Cabernet opens with a highly expressive bouquet of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry layered with graphite, violet, black truffle, dark chocolate, and sweet pipe tobacco. The nose is both opulent and refined, hinting at the concentration and detail to come. On the palate, it is full-bodied, densely packed, and beautifully seamless, with ripe dark fruit wrapped in polished tannins and subtle French oak spice. The finish is long, structured, and graceful, suggesting excellent aging potential. While already impressive now, it will continue to evolve beautifully over the next decade or more.

Production
This wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon, with 90% sourced from the legendary Champoux Vineyard and 10% from Mach One Vineyard, both in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. The area’s warm, dry climate and well-drained soils are ideal for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon to full maturity while preserving freshness and definition. Fruit is hand-harvested, and the wine is aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak, adding depth, structure, and a refined spicy complexity.

Food & Serving
Best served with rich, flavorful dishes such as grilled ribeye, slow-braised short ribs, lamb, venison, or truffle-infused dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the wine to fully open and soften.
