Pulsation Bio Rouge 2023 St. Nicolas de Bourgueil Loire

Pulsation Bio Rouge 2023 is a fresh, elegant organic red from Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil in the Loire Valley, made entirely from Cabernet Franc. It captures the appellation’s signature style beautifully: lively fruit, soft tannins, and the clean, terroir-driven character that has made Loire reds so loved for generations.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear ruby-red colour with bright reflections. The nose is inviting and aromatic, opening with cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry, and redcurrant, followed by subtle notes of herbs, spice, and a delicate floral touch of violet. The palate is juicy, supple, and well balanced, with fine tannins and a lively freshness that keeps the wine energetic and easy to enjoy. The finish is graceful and elegant, with pure red fruit and a distinctly Loire-like mineral lift. This is a red wine made for drinking young, though it will hold its freshness and charm for a few years.

Production
The grapes come from Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, where sandy and limestone-rich soils near the Loire River help shape Cabernet Franc with brightness, aromatic precision, and soft texture. Harvesting takes place at optimal ripeness, with a clear focus on preserving freshness and varietal expression. Vinification is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by 8–9 months of ageing in tank to maintain the wine’s clean fruit profile and vibrant character. The result is an organic Loire red that stays true to its terroir while remaining polished and approachable.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs naturally with charcuterie, roast chicken, grilled vegetables, mushroom dishes, and lightly seasoned pork or veal. It also works well with salmon, soft cheeses, or simple rustic dishes where freshness and fruit can shine. Serve slightly chilled, ideally at 14–16°C, and decanting is not necessary, although a short airing can help open the aromatics if the wine is served very young.
