Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine typically shows a bright garnet hue with the translucent clarity that is so characteristic of Nebbiolo. The aroma is refined and complex, with notes of red cherry, rose petal, dried herbs, and subtle hints of spice and earth. On the palate, it is dry, graceful, and layered, combining firm tannins with lively acidity and a long, poised finish. The 2022 vintage is still youthful, but Barbaresco has the structure and balance to age beautifully, developing greater depth, softness, and nuance over time.

Production
This Barbaresco comes from vineyards in the Langhe, where clay and limestone-clay soils, together with the area’s altitude and cool, foggy climate, create ideal conditions for Nebbiolo. The grapes are hand-harvested at full maturity, then gently pressed and fermented in large vats or stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is matured in oak or chestnut casks for one year, followed by an additional 14 months of aging to refine its texture and bring out its signature dry, elegant style.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roasted lamb, beef braises, mushroom risotto, truffle dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
