Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows deep, concentrated color with the kind of inky intensity you’d expect from top Napa Cabernet. The nose is layered and expressive, offering cassis, blackcurrant, ripe dark plum, dark chocolate, cedar, nutmeg, and violet. The palate is rich and focused, built around dark fruit, blackcurrant, tobacco, cocoa, and warm spice, with a powerful structure that still feels polished and elegant. It is beautifully enjoyable now, but the balance, concentration, and oak integration suggest a long and rewarding aging potential.

Production
The fruit comes from leading Napa Valley vineyards, chosen for their ability to deliver depth, concentration, and a clear sense of place. Thomas Rivers Brown favors an earlier harvest than is typical in order to preserve freshness, aromatic lift, and terroir expression. After pressing and fermentation, the wine matured for 22 months in French oak barrels, 78% of which were new, adding structure and nuance without overwhelming the fruit.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, short ribs, or braised beef dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening it young to help the aromas fully unfold.
