Post Parade Cabernet 2018 is a polished Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that combines concentration with remarkable finesse. Crafted by acclaimed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, it reflects his signature balance of power, elegance, and site-driven character, made from fruit sourced from some of Napa’s most respected vineyards.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep dark red color with a distinct purple rim. The nose is layered and expressive, offering blackcurrant jam, dark cherries, cloves, cedar, dark chocolate, and violets. The palate is full-bodied and deeply flavored, echoing the aromatic profile with impressive depth and a striking mineral edge, including hints of crushed stone. The finish is long, refined, and lightly floral, giving the wine a sense of lift and elegance. Built for aging, it should continue to develop beautifully over the coming years.

Production
The grapes come from top Napa Valley sites carefully selected and followed by Thomas Rivers Brown himself. Harvested by hand, the fruit is gently pressed and fermented before the wine spends 20 months in French oak barrels, 85% of which are new. The result is a Cabernet that remains generous and concentrated, while retaining freshness, precision, and a clear sense of terroir.

Food & Serving
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roasted lamb, or rich dishes with mushrooms and herbs. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to let the wine fully open and show its best complexity.

Originally from South Carolina, Brown built his career in California through a deep passion for wine and a talent that quickly set him apart, first at Turley and later at Outpost. Known for his work with Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, he has earned a reputation for wines that emphasize balance, purity, and vineyard expression.
