Description
Poderi Marcarini Moscato d'Asti DOCG 2025 is a charming, lightly sparkling expression of Piedmont’s most beloved aromatic grape. Made from 100% Moscato Bianco and crafted with care in La Morra, it captures the elegance, freshness, and floral intensity that have made Moscato d’Asti a classic for generations.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale straw-yellow color with a delicate, fine mousse. The nose is intensely fragrant, offering peach, apricot, orange blossom, white flowers, and ripe grape notes.
The palate is sweet but beautifully balanced by lively acidity and a soft, silky texture. Its gentle sparkle keeps it lifted and refreshing, while the finish is long, aromatic, and unmistakably Moscato. Best enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit and freshness, though it will drink well in the near term.
Production
The grapes come from vineyards around Neviglie in the Langhe, where a cool climate and limestone-rich soils help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. Harvesting is done with a focus on maintaining the natural fragrance and acidity of the fruit.
Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with fermentation stopped early to retain natural sweetness and keep the alcohol low at around 5%. This method preserves the grape’s floral character and creates the wine’s signature light effervescence.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, ideally at 6-8°C, to highlight its freshness and aromatic lift. It is a natural match for fruit tarts, panettone, almond biscuits, panna cotta, and mild cheeses, and also works beautifully with spicy Asian dishes or as a festive aperitif. Decanting is not necessary.
