Tasting Notes
In the glass, it pours a dense ruby red, hinting at the concentration within. The nose is generous and layered, with sweet blackcurrant, candied violets, and an herbal lift of thyme and lavender that gives the wine a distinctly Sicilian feel. The palate is supple and full-flavored, balancing ripe fruit with smooth, well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. It has the structure to develop nicely over a few years, though its immediate charm makes it highly enjoyable now.
