Piot-Sévillano Provocante, L'instant Meunier is a characterful Blanc de Noirs Champagne built entirely on Pinot Meunier, the grape that gives the Vallée de la Marne much of its charm and personality. From the family-run estate of Piot-Sévillano, it combines ripe fruit, texture, and energy in a style that reflects both tradition and a modern, terroir-driven outlook.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright golden hue with a lively mousse. The nose is expressive and fruit-forward, with notes of orchard fruit, ripe pear, yellow apple, citrus peel, and subtle brioche or pastry tones, along with the gentle floral and spicy accents that Pinot Meunier can bring. On the palate, it is rounded and generous, yet kept fresh by a firm line of acidity and fine bubbles. Expect a juicy, supple texture with layers of stone fruit, red apple, and a soft mineral edge, finishing clean and balanced. This is a Champagne to enjoy for its immediate appeal, though the structure suggests it can develop added complexity over a few years in bottle.

Production
Piot-Sévillano farms 8 hectares in Vincelles, in the Vallée de la Marne, where Pinot Meunier thrives in the local clay-limestone soils and cool Champagne climate. The estate has avoided pesticides for the past 20 years, uses organic fertilization, collects rainwater, and works with low sulphur levels, while also holding HVE3 certification. The wine is made from 100% Pinot Meunier, highlighting the grape’s natural richness and the estate’s commitment to sustainable viticulture and precise, fruit-focused winemaking.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, ideally at 8–10°C, to preserve its freshness and delicate mousse. It is an excellent match for charcuterie, roast chicken, creamy poultry dishes, seafood with a light sauce, or soft cheeses, and it can be opened straight away without decanting.

Champagne Piot-Sévillano is a family estate that has become known for combining heritage with thoughtful innovation. Christine Scher-Sevillano and her husband Vincent returned to the family home in Vincelles to continue the work of the estate, which produces around 60,000 bottles annually from its own vines. With a clear focus on sustainable farming and a broad range of fruit-driven Champagnes, the house has established itself as a respected name in the Vallée de la Marne, especially for expressive Meunier-based wines.
