Description

Made from Domaine Paul Schneider’s oldest Pinot Noir vines around Eguisheim, this Vieilles Vignes bottling offers added concentration and depth compared with a classic Alsace Pinot Noir. The 2024 is shaped by old-vine fruit, marl and limestone soils, and a measure of oak ageing.

Tasting Notes
Ruby-red in the glass, it opens with aromas of ripe cherry and dark berries, touched by subtle oak. The palate is elegant and harmonious, with juicy red fruit, soft tannins and a gentle note of spice.

Production
The Pinot Noir comes from old vines around Eguisheim, where marl and limestone soils contribute to the wine’s mineral structure. The vines’ naturally lower yields give the fruit greater concentration. The wine is partly aged in oak barrels; harvesting and vinification details are not specified.

Food & Serving
Enjoy with duck breast, veal, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, poultry or mature cheeses. Serve at 14–16°C. A little time in the glass can help its aromas open; no specific decanting requirement is provided.
