Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby color with garnet reflections that will slowly evolve with age. The nose is layered and refined, offering red cherry, dried rose, wild herbs, balsamic notes, and hints of spice, leather, and earth. On the palate, it is structured yet graceful, with bright acidity, firm tannins, and concentrated flavors of sour cherry, plum, tobacco, and savory mineral tones. The 2019 vintage should develop beautifully over time, gaining complexity and softness over the next decade or more, while still offering plenty of charm in its youth with proper aeration.

Production
Pinino’s vineyards in Montalcino benefit from Tuscany’s warm days, cool nights, and well-draining soils that help Sangiovese build both aromatic precision and natural freshness. The grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then vinified with care to preserve purity of fruit, structure, and terroir expression before maturation in oak, where the wine gains depth and balance.

Food & Serving
This Brunello is an excellent match for roasted lamb, bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised beef, game, mushroom risotto, and aged Pecorino. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas to open and the tannins to soften.
