Production
Sourced from carefully selected Chardonnay parcels in the rolling hills of Franciacorta in Lombardy, Pietraluce Franciacorta Satén Brut DOCG benefits from mineral-rich morainic soils and a temperate climate moderated by nearby Lake Iseo. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to ensure only the healthiest, perfectly ripe bunches reach the cellar. After a gentle pressing, the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel (and, in some cases, partly in oak) to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. The base wines are then blended and undergo a second fermentation in the bottle following the traditional metodo classico. The wine rests on its lees for an extended period, enhancing texture and complexity, before disgorgement and a carefully judged Brut dosage that maintains the trademark softness and elegance of the Satén style.

This Satén Brut is an excellent companion to refined appetizers and delicate dishes: think shellfish, oysters, scallop carpaccio, sushi and sashimi, or a simple plate of prosciutto crudo and mild, bloomy-rind cheeses.
