Description

Pierre Mignon Champagne Rosé Brut is a refined, non-vintage rosé that celebrates the elegance and freshness of Champagne’s iconic terroir. Blending Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it offers a harmonious balance of fruit, finesse and structure that’s tailor-made for both aperitifs and special occasions. This cuvée highlights Pierre Mignon’s house style: generous fruit, a fine mousse and a distinctly modern expression of traditional Champagne craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Pierre Mignon Champagne Rosé Brut shows a radiant salmon-pink hue with copper highlights and a lively stream of fine, persistent bubbles. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants, layered with hints of citrus zest, rose petals and a subtle touch of brioche. On the palate, it is dry, crisp and beautifully balanced, with juicy red berry fruit at the core supported by fresh acidity and a fine, creamy texture. Notes of pink grapefruit, ripe cherries and a delicate mineral edge carry through to a clean, refreshing finish. This rosé is crafted for immediate enjoyment but can comfortably age for a few years in bottle, gaining a little more complexity and softness while retaining its lively character.

Production
Sourced from selected vineyards across the Champagne region, this rosé brut reflects the diversity of Champagne’s chalk and limestone-rich soils, which lend both tension and precision to the wine. Grapes are harvested by hand to ensure optimal ripeness and careful selection in the vineyard. The base wines are vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatics, with a small portion of still red wine from Pinot Noir added to achieve the delicate rosé color and enhance red-fruit character. After blending, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle following the traditional method, then ages on its lees for an extended period to develop fine bubbles and subtle complexity before disgorgement and dosage as Brut.

Food & Serving
Pierre Mignon Champagne Rosé Brut is an excellent partner for a wide range of dishes: think salmon tartare, grilled prawns, sushi and sashimi, or charcuterie boards with cured ham and soft cheeses. Its red-berry notes also make it a lovely match for roasted poultry, Mediterranean salads or lightly spiced Asian cuisine, and it can even complement fruit-based desserts that are not overly sweet, such as fresh berries or a raspberry tart. Serve well-chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F); brief aeration in the glass is usually sufficient, and decanting is not necessary. Use fine Champagne flutes or white wine glasses to allow the aromas to fully express themselves.

Producer
The Pierre Mignon estate is a family-run Champagne house rooted in the heart of the region, where several generations have dedicated themselves to cultivating and crafting quality-driven cuvées. Known particularly for their skillful use of Pinot Meunier, they have built a reputation for Champagnes that are expressive, generous and true to their origins. Over the years, the house has earned recognition in both domestic and international markets, helping to showcase the nuanced charm of grower and family-owned Champagne within one of France’s most prestigious wine regions.
