Description

Pierre Mignon Champagne Prestige Brut is a refined, non-vintage cuvée that captures the elegance and energy of France’s Champagne region. Crafted from Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it delivers a balanced and versatile style that’s ideal both for celebrations and as an aperitif. This Prestige Brut highlights the house’s focus on precision blending and long lees aging, offering a Champagne with real character and depth.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Champagne shows a bright, pale gold colour with a fine, persistent mousse that speaks to careful secondary fermentation and aging. The nose opens with classic Champagne aromas of crisp green apple, pear and lemon zest, followed by hints of white flowers, brioche, and a delicate nuttiness from time spent on the lees. On the palate, Prestige Brut is fresh and lively, with a clean, linear acidity that keeps everything lifted and vibrant. Pinot Meunier brings generous orchard fruit and a touch of suppleness, Chardonnay adds tension, citrus and minerality, while Pinot Noir contributes subtle structure and length. Expect flavours of apple, citrus, stone fruit and light toast, wrapped in a creamy yet precise texture and finishing dry, elegant and refreshing. While this cuvée is ready to enjoy now for its bright, primary fruit, it has the structure and balance to develop additional complexity over the next 3–5 years.

Production
Sourced from carefully selected vineyard sites across the Champagne region, this cuvée benefits from chalk and limestone-rich soils that give the wine its finesse and mineral backbone. Grapes are generally harvested by hand to ensure only healthy, perfectly ripe bunches are brought to the press. Each variety—Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir—is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve freshness and aromatics, then blended to achieve the house’s signature style. After the second fermentation in bottle, the wine is aged on its lees for an extended period, building texture, fine bubbles and subtle notes of brioche before dosage is added and the wine is released as Brut.

Food & Serving
Pierre Mignon Champagne Prestige Brut is a versatile food partner, making it a natural choice for aperitif alongside oysters, shellfish, sushi and delicate canapés. It also pairs beautifully with light fish dishes, fresh goat cheese, poultry in cream sauces, and even simple classics like fries or salted crisps. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F) for maximum freshness and finesse. A brief 10–15 minutes in an open bottle or a quick, light decant in a wide carafe can help the aromas fully express themselves, particularly if serving with food.

Producer
The Pierre Mignon estate is a family-owned grower-producer based in the heart of the Champagne region of France. Over generations, the family has built a reputation for meticulous vineyard work and traditional craftsmanship, focusing on expressing the character of their terroirs through precise blending. Known especially for their deft handling of Pinot Meunier—a key variety in the Vallée de la Marne—the house has earned recognition for producing Champagnes that overdeliver in quality while remaining true to regional tradition. Prestige Brut stands as a flagship expression of their style: refined, fruit-driven and elegantly structured.
