On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and firmly structured, with layers of dark fruit, polished tannins, and a long, mineral finish. Pichon Baron’s vineyards sit on the gravelly soils of Pauillac, where excellent drainage and proximity to the Gironde help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve its classic expression. The estate is known for meticulous vineyard management and careful harvest selection, followed by traditional vinification aimed at preserving concentration, precision, and aromatic purity.

Food & Serving
This is a superb match for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, entrecôte, duck breast, or game dishes such as venison. It also pairs beautifully with hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
