On the palate, the wine is expected to be medium to full-bodied, with firm but finely shaped tannins, fresh acidity, and a layered core of dark fruit, tobacco, and spice. The finish is long and composed, suggesting excellent aging potential; like most top Pauillac wines, it should reward several years in bottle and continue evolving beautifully over a decade or more.

Produced in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Pedesclaux benefits from gravel-rich soils that favor excellent drainage and help Cabernet Sauvignon achieve ripeness and precision. The estate’s winemaking is geared toward preserving freshness, balance, and site expression, with careful parcel selection and modern cellar practices typically used to craft a wine that combines power with finesse.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, entrecôte, beef fillet, duck breast, or game dishes, as well as hard cheeses such as Comté or aged Cheddar. Serve at around 16–18°C; decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended if drinking young to help the wine open up and soften its tannins.
