Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby-garnet colour with excellent clarity. Aromas tend to unfold with blackcurrant, ripe plum, violet, cedar, tobacco, and subtle spice, reflecting both the vintage and the Margaux style. On the palate, it is usually polished and layered, with supple tannins, bright freshness, and well-integrated oak. The finish is long and graceful, with enough structure to age well over the medium to long term, developing further complexity over the next decade or more.

Produced in Bordeaux’s Margaux appellation, Pavillon Rouge benefits from the gravelly soils and temperate Atlantic-influenced climate that help Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot ripen with balance and finesse. As the second wine of Château Margaux, it is made from carefully selected parcels and lots that do not enter the grand vin, allowing the estate to maintain a consistently high level of quality. Vinification follows the château’s meticulous approach, with parcel-by-parcel selection and élevage in oak to preserve purity, precision, and aromatic detail.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for about 1–2 hours if drinking young to help раскрыve its aromatics and soften the tannins.
