Pasqua Cascina San Vincenzo Amarone della Valpolicella is an expressive organic Amarone from one of Veneto’s most established families, offering the richness, structure, and depth that define the style. Made from hand-harvested Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes dried for three months before vinification, it combines traditional craftsmanship with the Pasqua family’s long-standing passion for Valpolicella. This is a wine with both historical resonance and immediate appeal, built for moments that call for something truly memorable.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep garnet-red colour with impressive density. The nose is layered and inviting, with intense aromas of morello cherry and dried fruit, lifted by spicy nuances of tobacco, leather, dark chocolate, and vanilla.
On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, delivering dark berries, smoky tones, and a velvety texture supported by structured tannins. The finish is long and persistent, with the kind of depth and power that suggests excellent aging potential over the next several years.
Production
This Amarone comes from the Valpolicella area in Veneto, where the grapes are sourced for their ripeness and character before being carefully handpicked. After harvest, the fruit undergoes the traditional appassimento method, drying for around three months to concentrate flavour, sugar, and texture. The vinification is designed to preserve the wine’s intensity and complexity, resulting in a rich, organic Amarone with a generous 15% ABV and classic regional character.
Food & Serving
Best served with rich dishes such as braised short ribs, roast game, aged cheeses, or mushroom risotto, this Amarone also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least an hour before drinking to allow the wine’s aromas and tannins to खुल fully.
Producer
Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine is a historic family-owned producer from Verona, deeply rooted in the Veneto wine tradition and widely recognised for its commitment to quality and innovation. Over generations, the Pasqua family has helped shape the reputation of Valpolicella wines, particularly Amarone, with a style that balances authenticity and modern precision. Their wines are now appreciated both in Italy and internationally for their consistency, craftsmanship, and regional identity.
