Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep cherry-red color that signals both ripeness and concentration. The nose is intense and layered, with dark berries, ripe cherries, warm spice, and a subtle mineral edge that adds lift and complexity. On the palate, it is fresh, focused, and beautifully structured, with ripe tannins, vibrant energy, and a long, elegant finish. The high-altitude origin gives the wine a cooler, more airy profile, and it should develop gracefully over the coming years, rewarding cellaring with added nuance and polish.

Production
This wine comes from high-altitude parcels in Fuentenebro, Pardilla, and Honrubia de la Cuesta, where old vines grow in poor, stony soils on a biodiverse plateau in Castilla y León. The elevated sites bring cool nights and help preserve freshness, creating a lifted style with excellent balance and precision. Vinification is designed to highlight purity of fruit, structure, and the distinctive terroir rather than heavy extraction.
