Description

Oasi degli Angeli’s Kupra is a distinctive, limited-production red from Italy’s Marche region, made from Grenache. A rare expression of the grape in central Italy, it offers an intriguing alternative to the region’s better-known Montepulciano-based reds.

Tasting Notes
The 2021 is expected to show a deep ruby-red colour, with aromas of ripe dark cherry and berry fruit alongside herbs and spice. On the palate, expect concentrated fruit, a generous texture and firm structure, with a long, savoury finish. Its balance and structure should allow it to develop in bottle over the next several years when stored in good conditions.

Food & Serving
Serve at around 16–18°C. It should pair well with grilled or roasted red meats, game, and aged hard cheeses. If the wine seems especially closed on opening, allow it to breathe or decant it for around 30 minutes.

Oasi degli Angeli is a small estate in the Marche, founded by Marco Casolanetti and Eleonora Rossi. It is best known for its powerful, low-production wines, including Kurni, and has helped bring attention to the region’s potential for distinctive, ambitious reds.
