Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour. The nose is intense and spicy, unfolding dark berries, warm spices, and a subtle hint of garrigue that speaks clearly of its Provençal origin. On the palate it is full-bodied, warm, and beautifully structured, with ripe tannins and a long, forceful finish. Built from vines aged 80 to 100 years, it has the concentration to age gracefully over the next several years, gaining further complexity and harmony.

Production
This Gigondas is crafted from Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault sourced from old vines and harvested by hand. Some of the grapes are partially destemmed before undergoing traditional fermentation in cement tanks with a long maceration, a method that helps draw out depth and texture while preserving freshness. The wine is then aged for 18 months in large foudres, which softens the structure without masking the purity of the fruit. The vineyards’ mature vines and the Rhône’s warm, stony terroir give the wine its natural concentration, aromatic richness, and unmistakable southern character.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for lamb, game, grilled meats, and hearty slow-cooked dishes. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the wine’s aromas and structure to खुल fully.
