Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass, the 2010 Montrose shows the dark, concentrated colour expected of a wine built for the long haul. The nose is layered and classical, with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and a touch of violet, gradually opening to reveal earthy and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied and tightly structured, with firm yet polished tannins supporting rich dark fruit, savory oak, and a strong core of freshness. The finish is long and persistent, marked by spice, gravelly minerality, and excellent balance. This is a wine with significant aging potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over many years.

Production
The wine comes from Château Montrose’s renowned vineyards in Saint-Estèphe, where deep gravelly soils and a cooler maritime-influenced climate help produce Cabernet Sauvignon-driven wines of great structure and longevity.
