Description

Montevertine Pian del Ciampolo 2024 is a lively Tuscan red built around Sangiovese, with small portions of Canaiolo and Colorino adding depth and character. Made and matured in cement tanks and large oak casks, it offers a fresh, finely textured expression of the estate’s wines.

Tasting Notes
The first impression is slightly reductive, so give the wine time to breathe. As it opens, aromas of redcurrant, blueberry, violet and iris emerge. On the palate, it is energetic and vertical, with a slender, silky feel and fine, approachable tannins. Its freshness and structure suggest it will benefit from some time to gain further breadth, though no specific ageing window is stated.

Production
The 2024 blend comprises 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino. It was vinified and matured in cement tanks and large oak casks. Specific details about the vineyard terroir and harvesting methods are not available.
