Description

Montevertine Pian del Ciampolo 2023 is an elegant, lively Tuscan red and a graceful introduction to the estate’s celebrated Sangiovese-led wines. Its blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino reflects Montevertine’s enduring commitment to the traditional grapes of the region; production was 19,500 bottles.

Tasting Notes
The nose is led by wild cherry, with floral hints of iris and violet and a subtle spicy edge reminiscent of white pepper or dried ginger. The palate is fresh and energetic, with a distinctly youthful, primary character that avoids excessive ripeness. It spreads gently across the palate with a silky texture. Production
The wine is fermented in cement tanks and matured in large oak casks, or botti. Specific vineyard conditions, terroir details and harvesting methods are not provided.
