Description

Montevertine Le Pergole Torte 2023 is a 100% Sangiovese from Tuscany, prized for its floral aromatics, graceful elegance and finely structured tannins. First produced in 1977, it has become one of the region’s best-known expressions of Sangiovese.

Tasting Notes
The nose is inviting and aromatic, with delicate floral notes lifted by the vintage’s added intensity. On the palate, the wine is slender, refined and elegant, balanced by polished tannins and a firm yet graceful structure. Its balance and tannic framework suggest good potential to develop in bottle, though a specific drinking window has not been provided.

Production
The wine is made entirely from Sangiovese. Fermentation takes place in cement vats, followed by ageing in large oak casks and barriques. Details of the vineyard’s specific terroir and harvesting methods are not available.
