Description

Montevertine 2023 is a graceful Tuscan red built around Sangiovese, with small additions of Canaiolo and Colorino adding depth to its character. Its lifted, floral profile and poised, fresh style reflect the estate’s distinctive approach to classic Sangiovese.

Tasting Notes
The nose opens with delicate aromas of blue flowers, violets and small berries. On the palate, the wine is elegant and precise, carrying its freshness and fine, graceful character from start to finish.

Production
Made from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Colorino, the wine is fermented and aged in cement vats and large oak casks. The 2023 vintage yielded approximately 23,000 bottles.

Producer
Montevertine is based in Radda in Chianti and was founded by Sergio Manetti in 1967. The estate is widely respected for its Sangiovese-led wines and its independent approach to Tuscan winemaking; it left the Chianti Classico appellation in 1981.
