Monte del Fra’s Custoza Superiore Ca’ del Magro 2024 is a refined Veneto white built around Garganega and complemented by a broad selection of traditional and international varieties. From one of the estate’s best-known Custoza vineyards, it combines bright Alpine freshness with the rounded texture and aromatic complexity associated with the Custoza Superiore appellation.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in appearance, with luminous highlights. The nose is expressive and layered, offering aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, ripe pear and peach, with subtle herbal and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh yet generous, balancing lively acidity with a soft, textured mid-palate and a persistent, gently savoury finish. While delicious in its youth, its structure and complexity allow it to develop further over the next few years when stored in good conditions.

Production
The wine comes from the rolling hills of Custoza in southern Veneto, where calcareous, morainic soils and a temperate climate help preserve freshness while encouraging full aromatic development. The blend brings together Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Cortese, Friulano/Sauvignon Vert, Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni 2.15, Malvasia and Welschriesling. The varieties are vinified with care to retain their individual character, then combined to create a balanced and complex white in the Custoza Superiore style.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 10–12°C. Ca’ del Magro is an excellent partner for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, risotto, fresh pasta with herb-based sauces and poultry. Its freshness also works well with vegetarian dishes, soft cheeses and antipasti. Decanting is generally unnecessary, although allowing the wine to breathe briefly in the glass can reveal additional aromatic depth.
