Aroma & Palate
The nose offers inviting aromas of vanilla, honeyed malt, ripe orange and a touch of lightly toasted oak. On the palate, it is creamy and mellow, with notes of vanilla fudge, soft spices, citrus and malt. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a subtle hint of oak and baking spice.

Distillation & Maturation
Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky, meaning it is made exclusively from malt whiskies and contains no grain whisky. The selected whiskies are blended to create a consistent, balanced profile with enough richness to work well both for sipping and mixing. No vintage statement applies to this whisky.

Serving Suggestions
Enjoy Monkey Shoulder neat or over ice to appreciate its soft, malty character. It also performs particularly well in classic whisky cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, Whisky Sour or Rob Roy, and makes an easy, refreshing highball with soda or ginger ale. The name refers to a temporary condition once experienced by maltmen who turned barley by hand during the traditional malting process. Today, Monkey Shoulder is recognised for its accessible blended malt style and its strong focus on cocktail versatility.
