Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a garnet hue with brick-red reflections, a hallmark of mature Nebbiolo. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of dried rose petals, cherry, wild berry, licorice, tobacco and earthy spice. On the palate, it is structured and precise, combining firm but polished tannins with vibrant acidity and flavors of red fruit, orange peel, leather and savory mineral notes. The Riserva status suggests added depth and complexity, with excellent aging potential; while already expressive, it can continue to evolve beautifully for years, gaining greater nuance and softness over time.

Production
Produced from Nebbiolo grapes grown in Piemonte’s Barolo zone, the wine reflects the region’s calcareous marl soils and cool continental climate, which contribute to aromatic intensity and firm structure. Harvesting is typically carried out with careful selection to preserve fruit quality, followed by traditional vinification practices designed to extract color, tannin and fragrance while maintaining balance and finesse.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for hearty Piedmontese dishes, braised beef, game, truffle risotto, mushroom-based recipes and aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young or to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
