Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet hue, with the translucent colour Nebbiolo lovers expect from Barolo. The nose is lifted and complex, with aromas of red cherry, dried rose, violet, licorice, spice, and subtle earthy notes that become more pronounced with air. On the palate, it is structured and precise, combining firm tannins with fresh acidity and layered flavours of sour cherry, plum, tobacco, leather, and mineral depth. The finish is long and savoury, with significant aging potential; this is a wine that can develop beautifully over many years, gaining greater nuance and harmony with cellar time.

Production
Made from Nebbiolo grown in Piedmont’s Barolo appellation, the wine benefits from the region’s marl-rich soils, rolling hillside vineyards, and climate that allows slow, even ripening while preserving freshness and aromatic complexity. Harvesting is typically carried out by hand to ensure only fully ripe fruit is selected, and vinification follows traditional Barolo principles aimed at drawing out Nebbiolo’s fine tannin structure, fragrance, and age-worthy character.

Food & Serving
Barolo is at its best with rich, flavourful dishes such as braised beef, roasted game, truffle pasta, porcini risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least one hour if drinking young to allow the wine to open and soften; longer decanting may be beneficial for a more reserved bottle.
