Mesa Vermentino di Sardegna Giunco 2025 is a vibrant Sardinian white that captures the Mediterranean character of Vermentino at its best. Made entirely from Vermentino by Cantina Mesa, it combines brightness, salinity, and aromatic intensity in a style that feels both refined and unmistakably coastal.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear straw-yellow color that immediately suggests freshness and energy. The nose opens with vivid citrus peel, ripe white fruit, and touches of tropical fruit, lifted by balsamic notes of Mediterranean scrub and a subtle hint of iodine. On the palate, it is lively yet enveloping, with freshness and saline tension driving the wine’s rhythm. The fruity and herbal-balsamic nuances remain present through the finish, giving it excellent balance and a distinctly Sardinian identity. Best enjoyed young for its aromatic precision, though it can develop pleasing complexity over the next 2–3 years.

Produced in Sardinia from 100% Vermentino, Giunco comes from the Sulcis Iglesiente area, where the sea influence helps shape the grape’s signature freshness and salinity. The wine is crafted by Cantina Mesa with a focus on expressing the island’s terroir, using winemaking methods that preserve the variety’s aromatic clarity and natural vibrancy.

Food & Serving
This is a wonderful match for seafood, shellfish, grilled prawns, raw fish dishes, and light Mediterranean cuisine such as pasta with clams or herb-roasted vegetables. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
