Production
Margheria is one of Serralunga d’Alba’s historic crus, characterized by calcareous, iron-rich marl and compact soils that give Barolo both power and mineral precision. Massolino farms these vineyards with meticulous attention, harvesting the Nebbiolo grapes by hand to ensure only perfectly ripe, healthy clusters are selected. In the cellar, the must typically undergoes a traditional fermentation and maceration to extract aroma, color and tannin in a controlled way, followed by aging in large oak casks that respect the purity of the fruit and the character of the terroir. The result is a Barolo that marries the classic structure of Serralunga with the finesse and clarity of the 2020 vintage.
