Maso Martis Trento Blanc de Blancs Brut Magnum 2022

Maso Martis Trento Blanc de Blancs Brut 2022 is a Chardonnay-led sparkling wine from the hills above Trento, made using the traditional method. Presented in magnum format, it combines mountain-grown freshness with the added complexity of extended lees ageing. Founded in 1990, Maso Martis has helped establish the area’s reputation for elegant Trento DOC sparkling wines.

Tasting Notes
Pale straw-yellow in the glass, with fine, persistent bubbles. The aromatic profile brings together floral notes and fresh fruit, complemented by a delicate hint of yeast.

Production
The grapes come from organically farmed vineyards in Martignano, around 450 metres above sea level at the foot of Monte Calisio. Mountain breezes and marked temperature variations help preserve freshness and aromatic intensity. The vines are trained using the traditional Trentino pergola system and the grapes are harvested by hand before gentle pressing. Part of the must ferments and matures in barrels for around eight months, while the remainder is aged in stainless steel. After blending, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in bottle and spends approximately 24 months on the lees, followed by manual riddling and disgorgement.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 6–8°C, as an aperitif or alongside shellfish, light risottos, vegetarian dishes and a selection of cheeses. Decanting is not necessary; open shortly before serving to preserve the wine’s freshness and fine mousse.

Maso Martis was founded in 1990 in Martignano, where the estate had been cultivating its own vineyards since the 1980s. Its vineyards sit at around 450 metres above sea level, and the winery follows ICEA-certified organic farming practices. The estate focuses on traditional-method sparkling wines, with careful handwork and extended lees ageing. Its wines have received recognition including four Bibenda clusters and three glasses from Gambero Rosso.
