Maison Ambroise Bourgogne Aligoté 2024 is a vibrant, elegant expression of one of Burgundy’s most underrated white grapes. Sourced from old vines and crafted to show real texture and finesse, it proves that Aligoté can deliver far more than its classic role in a Kir.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright pale-gold color. The nose is fresh and inviting, with citrus, green apple, and a delicate almond note. On the palate, it is crisp and lively, yet surprisingly creamy in texture, with refreshing acidity and a long, clean finish. While it is made to be enjoyed young for its energy and purity, the balance and concentration from the old vines give it appealing depth.

Production
The grapes come from 50-year-old vines planted on clay and limestone soils near Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy. These soils help bring both freshness and mineral structure to the wine. The wine is not aged in oak, but it undergoes malolactic fermentation, which softens the acidity and contributes to its creamy mouthfeel.

Food & Serving
A superb aperitif, this Aligoté also pairs beautifully with shellfish, grilled fish, and classic goat cheese dishes such as Chèvre Chaud. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, to preserve its brightness and lift. Decanting is not necessary.
