Description
Lungarotti Brezza Rosé 2025 is a refined Umbrian rosé made from 100% Sangiovese, crafted to capture the freshness and elegance of Italy’s green heart. Light, graceful, and distinctly Mediterranean in style, it reflects Lungarotti’s long-standing ability to bring character and finesse to wines from Umbria.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale salmon color with delicate violet hints. The nose is expressive and charming, with aromas of raspberry, maraschino cherry, rose petals, wisteria, and a subtle touch of star anise.
The palate is dry, crisp, and well balanced, offering juicy red fruit, lively acidity, and a clean mineral finish. A gentle ripeness adds a soft, rounded mouthfeel, while the overall impression remains fresh, precise, and elegant. Best enjoyed young to preserve its bright fruit and vibrant structure.
Production
Brezza Rosé comes from Umbria’s cool valley zones, where calcareous and clay-rich soils help give the wine its freshness, finesse, and mineral edge. The grapes are harvested with care, then given only brief skin contact before pressing to achieve the delicate rosé color.
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 15°C, and the wine is aged in stainless steel as well to preserve purity of fruit, crisp acidity, and aromatic precision. The result is a modern, food-friendly rosé focused on freshness rather than weight.
Food & Serving
This rosé is an excellent match for summer salads, grilled seafood, light pasta dishes, roasted vegetables, and antipasti. It also pairs nicely with sushi, fresh goat cheese, and simply prepared white meats. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and there is no need to decant.
Producer
Lungarotti is one of Umbria’s most iconic producers, founded by Giorgio Lungarotti in Torgiano in the 1960s and instrumental in putting the region on the international wine map. The estate gained major acclaim through wines such as Rubesco, which helped establish Lungarotti as a benchmark for quality in central Italy.
Today, the winery is run by Giorgio Lungarotti’s daughters, Chiara and Teresa, who continue the family’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and innovation. Beyond winemaking, Lungarotti is also known for its wine and olive museums and its five-star hotel in Torgiano, making it one of Umbria’s most respected and culturally significant wine estates.
