Description
Lungarotti Brezza Rosé 2024 is a refined, modern rosé from Umbria made from 100% Sangiovese. It captures the freshness and elegance of Italy’s green heart, with a style that balances vibrant fruit, mineral finesse, and easy-drinking charm. Backed by one of Umbria’s most important producers, it brings both regional identity and pedigree to the glass.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale salmon hue with delicate pink reflections. The nose is bright and aromatic, opening with raspberry, maraschino cherry, rose petals, wisteria, and a subtle hint of star anise.
The palate is crisp, harmonious, and juicy, with red berry fruit, a gentle rounded texture, and a discreet touch of sweetness that is lifted by a clean mineral finish. It’s made to be enjoyed for its freshness and immediacy, though it should hold well in the near term if stored properly.
Production
Brezza Rosé 2024 comes from Umbria, a region known for rolling hills, limestone and clay soils, and a climate that supports wines with freshness and character. The grapes are harvested for quality and vinified with only brief skin contact to achieve the delicate rosé color, then fermented at controlled temperatures.
The wine is aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the Sangiovese fruit and its lively, aromatic profile. This approach emphasizes precision, freshness, and a clean, contemporary expression of the variety.
Food & Serving
This rosé is a versatile match for summer salads, grilled vegetables, seafood, light pasta dishes, sushi, and antipasti. It also works beautifully with Mediterranean dishes and mildly spiced cuisine. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
Producer
Lungarotti is one of Umbria’s most iconic wine estates, founded by Giorgio Lungarotti in the 1960s in Torgiano. The winery played a major role in putting Umbria on the international wine map, especially through the success of its renowned Rubesco wines, which have earned major critical acclaim.
Today, the estate is led by Giorgio Lungarotti’s daughters, Chiara and Teresa, who continue the family legacy with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation. Beyond wine, Lungarotti is also known for its wine and olive oil museums and its five-star hotel in Torgiano, making it one of the region’s most distinguished names in wine and hospitality.
