Luigi Boveri Derthona Timorasso 2024 is a distinctive white wine from Piedmont that showcases one of the region’s most characterful native grapes. Made from 100% Timorasso, it reflects both the identity of the Tortonesi hills and the family’s long-standing belief in this once-overlooked variety.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous straw-yellow color with golden highlights that deepen with age. The nose is intense and elegant, with fresh fruit and citrus aromas at the forefront, later unfolding into more refined mineral and fruit-driven nuances. On the palate, it is warm, structured, and persistent, with a balanced profile shaped by lively acidity and a clear mineral backbone. While vibrant and youthful now, Timorasso has the depth and aging potential to develop greater complexity over time, gaining richer, more layered notes with bottle age.

Production
Produced in the Colli Tortonesi DOC in Piedmont, this wine comes from the Tortonesi hills, where Timorasso has found its natural home. The grapes are gently pressed, the must is clarified, and fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18–20°C. The wine then spends 12 months in an autoclave on fine lees, with periodic stirring, followed by an additional 12 months of bottle aging.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as seafood risotto, grilled fish, roasted poultry, white meats, and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 10–12°C to bring out its freshness and structure; decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help if opened young.
